Nordic Walking Time Table

Dogs welcome if able to walk off lead.

Please find below a list of a walks we will be holding over the coming weeks.

Hello,

Please find below our Itinerary for the next four months up to the end of August 2012. We have tried to include an assortment of walks in local areas but have kept the more popular walks.

For those people just joining the group, we are still able to offer a 6 month membership of just £17.50 which is comparable with The Ramblers Association. We hope you enjoy walking with the group which enjoys a social aspect as well as fitness.

Again we do require a minimum of 3 people for a walk to go ahead and bookings must be made prior to a walk. If we do not receive the minimum requirement, the walk will be cancelled and only those who booked will be informed.

Please leave us a message on our answer machine if we are unavailable. We will contact you only if the walk is not going ahead due to lack of bookings or poor weather conditions.

If we have to change any of the walks due to unforeseen workload we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible. Please accept our apologies if this is the case and we will try our hardest for this not to happen.

There are now a few walkers in the Worthing area requiring transport, if you have space and are willing to assist, please let us know in advance. Many thanks.

Thank you for your continued to support and we look forward to walking with you soon.

Charity Walk

We would like to thanks those that completed the Sponsored walk/Nordic Walk around Thorney Island, what a wonderful day we had with superb weather, wonderful views and company.

Congratulations to everyone for completing the walk, it really was a very good effort and good time was made.

We have now collected all the sponsorship money and are amazed and delighted to say that a spectacular £1410 was made between 23 walkers. The four top amounts raised were £251.50, £130.00, £107.00 and £100 but whatever the amount you raised we would like to thank you with all our hearts for a great achievement. If you would like an individual breakdown of monies, please let me know and I would be happy to send this to you.

Andy managed to take some great photos throughout the day which will be posted below.

We would also like to thank the team at Boaters café and diner for allowing us to use their facilities during the day. Also for putting a collection box on the counter which was returned almost full.

A special thanks also goes to Stephanie of the M.O.D for giving us permission to walk around the island.

As the day was so enjoyable and vital funds were made, we hope to arrange a similar event for next March/April for another local charity, St. Barnabas Hospice. We are looking for a 10 mile walk in the area. Please express your interest if you would like to join us, there are plenty of days to train!!

The monies will be handed over to Age UK West Sussex within the next week or so.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

With Best Wises,

Linda & Andy
